Industry Day at New Mills School

Business & Enterprise College holds an Industry Day each year to give students the opportunity to talk to employers and get a real feel for the different professions on offer.

Last year’s day was a great success with local businesses and some national institutions here to give information and offer hands on activities.

New Mills Fire Service gave students the chance to experience for themselves what it would be like to enter a smoke filled room with breathing apparatus and reduced visibility. They will be visiting us again this year, along with the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines.

Macclesfield College will be here to talk about the NHS and caring professions, whilst High Peak College will discuss amongst others, catering and beauty courses.
