The Corpac Challenge at New Mills School

Corpac is one of the fastest growing companies in the country, producing point of sale and marketing products. Each year they set a challenge for the students as part of the Enterprise Week and last year’s was a resounding success with two Corpac directors coming in to school personally. Students had a day to try and convince them to relocate to New Mills and they had three venues to choose from. Some real creative thinking saw one company even ring the council up for planning permission! It was a real challenge to get everything done in the day and competition was fierce. Every form wanted to win, and the Form Tutors were especially determined to be the eventual champion. Well done to Miss Cooper and her form for finishing victorious. This year’s event promises to be just as exciting and will give the students a real taste for business, as well as developing enterprise skills such as teamwork, organisation, decision making, financial literacy, personal effectiveness and communication.
